Financial hardship

By Terry Savage on August 14, 2024 | Credit/Debt

My daughter has extreme high outstanding bills. Single parent no child support. She recently contacted National Debt Relief. As a hardship case. Is this a reputable company. If not who do you suggest. She has a full-time job. But between day care and rent there isn’t much left. I’m helping almost monthly. I’m a social security and wish I could help more. Thank you

Terry Says

She should immediately contact the National Foundation for Credit Counseling at 800-388-2227. They will work with her to deal with her debt. You can trust their advice.
And maybe they can direct her to some helpful state programs.

One obvious thought: if you moved in together she could save on rent and perhaps child care?
