Getting bank information changed on Treasury Direct
I’ve been on hold over 2 hours with Treasury Direct, trying to get my bank information changed. My bank was bought & everything has changed. In order to avoid this in the future, I am now a Chase customer.
The 2 choices to get this changed are: wait on the phone, where they MAY be able to help, or fill out a form, go to Chase, & wait up to 13 weeks after mailing the form to get the change reflected on my account. I’d like to buy t bills now.
Any advice?

Yes, I talked to Treasury today. They are making that adjustment immediately if you wait on the phone. If you fax in form #5512, they say it will be done within a week or 10 days. They’ve added more people and have a system for this issue now.
