Grandparents starting 529
Terry, we have moved from Illinois to North Carolina but stream WGN and saw you talking about grandparents starting 529, specifically Bright Star. I don’t believe North Carolina gives a state tax break for 529 plans, so my question is can we start one with Bright Star even though we are not Illinoisans and she will probably not go to an Illinois school? North Carolina’s 529 is not very good. Thanks in advance.
