Identity theft protection company

By Terry Savage on December 06, 2020 | Credit/Debt

Is their a identity theft protection company you think is good. I have listened to you on WGN, and i think you were on channel 5 for a long time? I can’t think of anyone else i would trust more.

Terry Says

I think the best -=- not to mention free — identity theft protection is to put a freeze on your credit report, after reading it carefully to make sure there is nothing surprising on there. A freeze means no one can open NEW credit in your name.

Then track your credit report from each bureau once a year. And stay on top of your bank and credit card balances every week — through a secure online connection in your home on your computer.

Yes, this is tech stuff — but it is easy. Those services let you know AFTER someone has applied for new credit — and charge you for the knowledge. A FREEZE prevents this from happening. They say they offer help getting things fixed if your credit is stolen — but then it’s too late!
If you think your identity has been stolen, read this article.
