IDES – benefits extention

By Terry Savage on January 29, 2021 | Wild Card

As of mid-January, I have been receiving unemployment benefits for one year.
When I certified for benefits two weeks ago today, my benefit year was updated to 1/14/2023 and my benefit amount contains an additional six months of benefits. So I thought I had been included in the recent unemployment benefit extension of 6 months.
However, today I was unable to certify. The message I received indicates that I am trying to certify before my certification date. This is not true and I can prove this with the payment statements on the IDES website. They last approved benefits on January 14, 2021.
I would like to know if I am eligible to receive the recently announced extension of unemployment benefits. If not, then is my inability to certify for the current period an issue with IDES?
Thank you for any information you can provide!

This is just another example of the mess that is IDES. File for a callback and just wait. Your benefits are supposed to be extended and increased by $300 — automatically. Wish I could offer more help!
