IDES PUA PORTAL BREACH

Hello Terry,
I just read a news report that this new IDES PUA portal has been breached. I’m concerned because IDES instructed me to submit documents to proceed with my PUA unemployment claim. So, I uploaded copies of my social security card with my maiden name, driver’s license with my married name, and marriage certificate to show the name change. How will I know if my personal information has been impacted? What recourse do I have?

They haven’t said much – -just a short press release noting the breach, and saying that it was a brief exposure, and mentioning something about identity theft monitoring. Truly an unsatisfactory response. I will update this when I hear more- -and believe me I have asked that question several times!
