Treasury Direct ID.Me change over when a trust is involved
I have a personal account with Treasury Direct and a trust account. I have done ID.Me for personal account. The accounts were not linked and have no option to link now. The trust is under my husband’s social security number. How will I be able to access my trust account after 10/28/26? Thank you for your assistance and all you do.

Is your husband listed as a trustee of the trust? If not, go into your existing trust account NOW and list him as the “manager” of the account. You can easily do that under the tab called “Account Info”, and then “edit”.
Then, He will have to create his own ID.me for the trust account as it uses Social Security numbers as the primary identifier. And his will be included as account manager. Try that first.
