Investment of funds in a special needs trust

By Terry Savage on November 29, 2023 | Chicken Money

Hello Terry, I have a special needs trust for my adult daughter, there is approximately100k in the trust fund at the bank and it’s not earning interest, as a trustee can I take some of the money and invest it in CDs or a money market fund and then have the principal and interest go back into the trust without penalties?
Thank you

You can set up an account at TreasuryDirect to buy U.S. government Treasury bills, and link it to your bank account.
