IRS tax refund problem
My son has yet to receive his 2019 tax refund of about $6,000. He called the IRS and they say it’s pending. Since it is now January of 2021, how much longer must he wait? Something seems amiss here.

No, they are just way behind processing individual paper returns that were sent to their office last March –since everyone is working out of office! They are paying interest on refunds. No idea when all paper returns for 2019 will be processed.
