IRS tax return
My husband and I filed our income tax form and we have over $17,000.00 owed to us (my husband over paid his quarterly taxes) and we still haven’t received our refund. They contacted us to prove our identity and I have idme and filled out the form and they said they received it. Now checking with where’s my refund, it says there has been a delay?! I tried calling and it’s all automated and I can’t get through to a live representative. So frustrating. Thanking you in advance for your help.

Well, you are one of many. Very many. In fact, I just posted a column on this subject. The IRS would not give me any details on how many people are waiting for refunds, having first been made to prove their identity. Perhaps this column will explain the issue. You are due interest on the refund, from the time your ID.me was filed.
