Letter from IDES about unemployment — but I’m retired!
I received the letter from IDES stating I will be receiving a bank card for unemployment. I contacted them on 12/14/20 and left a message. I’m retired from the local school district in Vernon Hills. I have received the bank card, and I won’t be doing anything with it keeping it in my folder. I received a call back on New Years Eve from the same phone number which is on the IDES letter. I was asked a few questions, and they hung up. I’ve followed all your directions from your website: contacted FBI, spoke to local police. What is my next step?

Hard to imagine IDES working on New Year’s eve when they don’t work most of the time on regular days! Right now, you just wait — to see if you get a 1099 form from the government for unemployment benefits you did not receive! That will start another round of problems!!
