Long term care and medicare

My wife was trying to explain what she heard you say today on WGN radio, the connection between long term car policy and Medicare

That’s not at all what I was talking about! Please go back and listen to the podcast of the show. https://wgnradio.com/wintrust-business-lunch/wintrust-business-lunch-3-6-24-terry-savage-dont-use-investment-and-bitcoin-in-same-sentence/

A long term care policy (not mentioned on this weeks WGN show) is an entirely separate policy that covers CUSTODIAL care — in home, in assisted living, or in a nursing facility. Medicare covers only 100 days of skilled nursing care (need for IV, etc) in a facility, and only after at least 3 days of admission to a hospital.
