Medicare
Hi Terry,
I have heard you talk about this subject before. My husband is on Medicare and took Advantage. I will be on Medicare within the next few months and you like part G better. He is very pleased so far with his plan but I want to follow your advice ( my father was a long time fan). Anyway, we travel slot and I need a plan that covers out of state issues that may arise. I haven’t heard you mention this issue. Any suggestions? I’m fairly healthy now.

Especially if you travel, you’ll want Medicare Part B and a supplement. And your husband has TWO WEEKS to switch back to traditional Medicare and a supplement — if he qualifies for health reasons.

The limitations and restrictions of Advantage plans will become more apparent if either of you has significant medical issues in the future.
