Medicare

By Terry Savage on December 04, 2025 | Insurance & Annuities

I turn 65 in June 2026. Do I have to take care of signing up for Medicare now or do I wait until after I’m 65? And is there a specialist I could talk to about getting a Medicare supplement?

Terry Says

You start the process by registering for Medicare at SSA.gov, about three months before you reach age 65. This assumes that you’re not covered by any plan at work.
If you live in Illinois or nearby states, I recommend Thom Dillon at JT Medicare Solutions for help with a supplement.

If you live elsewhere, find a specialist agent registered in your state at eHealth.com.
