Medicare D coverage
I am covered by Wellcare for prescription coverage. When going to medicare.gov to check all of my prescriptions, I was shown the yearly cost for the drugs I take. For the 2025 year I was told all of my drugs were .00, except for one. Faxinga shows a yearly cost of $725.00 which I understood.
But, for the year I have paid $1990.00. I have called Wellcare and asked why the difference and they said they will check into it. This year for 2026 it shows $1002.00 yearly cost for the drug, how can I be sure that is what I will actually pay?
I did call them in the beginning of the year asking why so much and they said it was the change in tier and the deducible. Can they be held to what they said was the cost for 2025?
Thank you

Actually, these companies ARE allowed to change drug tiers during the year. And yes, I would pursue a complaint. And yes, I would find another drug plan for next year using HeyMOE.com.
Let me know specifically what they say when you get a written response. I’d like to pursue this on your behalf if they give you a hassle. So please write back to me.
