My drug coverage is through my spouse’s employer’s health insurance. Will the $2,000 cap apply to my coverage?

No, it only applies to Medicare Part D or Advantage coverage. If you qualify for Medicare, this might be the time to investigate the cost of comparable coverage. But since your spouse is still working and monthly Medicare Part B premiums are based on your joint income, then it might be too expensive to make the switch.
