Ask Terry Questions Medicare Health Insurance vs Medicare Advantage

Medicare Health Insurance vs Medicare Advantage

By Terry Savage on November 12, 2022 | Insurance & Annuities

Why do you keep promoting Medicare vs a Medicare Advantage Plan? Medicare does not cover prescription drugs, dental, vision or hearing aids. All that must be paid for separately in a supplemental policy. An advantage plan covers all those in addition to health club, OTC drugs and can have a 0 premium. My husband and I and my MIL all carry Aetna PPO Advantage. Even if you get extremely ill, out of pocket costs cannot exceed $3300/year in our plan. The money you pay each month for a supplemental plan is more than that. Each week you keep saying NOT to explore the advantage option vs regular Medicare. Please contact me as you are giving misinformation. Please contact me for specifics.

In most cases, the Advantage plans work wonderfully — until you get sick. I am wishing you good health, and hoping that you will come out ahead if you stick to your plan.
