Medicare Part D
My part D is through Wellcare. I don’t get charged a premium. How are they able to stay in business? I have no prescriptions and only get the recommended yearly vaccinations.

The government subsidizes these plans that the insurance companies administer. So as long as you’re taking inexpensive generic drugs, your small co-pay will cover the cost and you will have a zero monthly premium. I know when I was those zero-premium plans last year, I was shocked! But they make their money on co-pays, and costs on expensive drugs.
