Medicare Supplement help
Is a Supplement plan Like Part G, for example replace my Part B? Or is it and additional cost?
Terry Says
Your supplement (preferably “G” which is the most comprehensive) picks up the costs that Part B does not cover, such as copayments for doctors and hospitals and much more.
YOU SHOULD SIGN UP FOR A SUPPLEMENT within 6 months of applying for Medicare Part B — because you cannot be turned down during that period for medical conditions. If you wait to sign up for the supplement, they can do a “medical underwriting.” You definitely NEED a supplement to Medicare Part A (hospital) and Part B (physician and outpatient), and you should get the G supplement.
