MEDICARE SUPPLEMENTAL INSURANCE
Hello Terry,
Wondering if you are familiar with transition benefits group?
The company I work for does not offer insurance retirement benefit, they recommend TBG for transition to Medicare.
Are they a good choice to work with or should I look for a local broker?
Thank you

I do not know this group, or whether they are incented (by commissions) to put you into Medicare Advantage programs.
I would suggest that you can make this transition yourself — signing up at Medicare.gov for Medicare to start on the date of your retirement, and also signing up at Medicare.gov for a G supplement (the best) to start at the same time, and also Part D for drugs (even if you currently take no prescription meds).
That’s all there is to it — and you can do it all at Medicare.gov. Your retirement date is the date on which you want all this to start.
If you are retiring but not taking SS until age 70, then the Part B, supplement, and Part D premiums will be taken out of your bank account or put on a credit card. If also starting SS, you can have Part B and D premiums deducted from your monthly SS deposit, but will make separate arrangements for paying for your supplement.
