Why are consumers not able to switch Medicare Supplement plans annually – as they can do with Medicare Part D (drug ) plans?

You can switch your supplement, but if you have the “best” Plan G (or the earlier Plan F) why would you want to do that? They all offer the same coverage. There could be a difference in price, but think twice before changing. If you are not in good health, a new less expensive plan won’t accept you into Plan G.
