Love your advice. Listen to you on WGN usually with John Williams. Agree wholeheartedly with your advice regarding traditional Medicare/supplement and Part D plans.
Unfortunately, I had to stop working at age 59 due to multiple medical issues. Applied for and was granted SSD. Carried employer’s insurance under extended Cobra and then an SSD supplement until age 65. Paid lots of money (approximately $800 monthly) until 65. Now my supplement is $155 monthly. There is no amount of money I could be paid to enter an Advantage plan. I was a social worker in a large hospital (in Wisconsin, where I live). I went above and beyond to discuss the following issues: HCPOA, Durable Financial POA, need for a Will or Trust, Longterm Care Insurance, in addition to whatever else I was requested to see the patient and/or family about. I , unfortunately, was not eligible for LTC insurance myself. I’m so happy to have been able to educate patients and family members about those issues. I’m very pleased with my current insurance choices. Medical Social Workers are a bit like dentists. We are only usually involved when there are problems but we don’t have novocaine or other pain killers to help with our interventions.
Keep up the excellent service.
