Notice of Possible ineligiblity for unemployment

By Terry Savage on September 27, 2021 | Wild Card

I was just wondering why all of a sudden I recieved a letter in the mail stating that I might be ineligible to continue recieving unemployment. I have followed all the instructions to a “T” everyrime I needed to certify, and have never had a problem until now. The day that I certified, I marked that my address has changed. I put my new address in, and then all of a sudden I stopped recieving my unemployment and recieved a letter saying I was possibly ineligible for recieving unemployment. All I did was correct my address. Could this be the cause of my ineligiblity? If so, how can the state come to that conclusion? Please help

Terry Says

If you’re talking about Illinois unemployment, the state is so messed up that any little thing can trigger a problem. The only suggestion I have is to put in a call and wait patiently for them to get around to your problem. Go to the IDES website, and scroll down to “contact’ — the “least important” thing on their website, so it is hidden at the bottom of the page.
Just keep at it, and please write back if, and when, you get your payments again. I wish I could do more, but IDES is impenetrable to reason and logic.
