Gold ETF
On 9.23.26 you mentioned GLD gold etf..if our deficits exceed our ability to pay..if I had money in an etf..an the economy tanked would i get gold back or dollars that are worthless?..hope it doesn’t hapoen..thank you ..

No, shares in the ETF GLD are only redeemable in cash at the market price that day. But here’s some perspective: If we are in such terrible state that you want actual gold bullion or coins, they won’t solve your problem. Most people wouldn’t trade their last loaf of bread for a gold coin!
