Personal Loan

By Terry Savage on March 23, 2023 | Credit/Debt

My husband passed a little over 3 yrs ago, unfortunately I only had a small life insurance policy on him. I currently have about $14,000 in credit card debt and am still paying on a loan for his funeral and burial. Is it smart to take out a personal loan to pay all this off? Credit Karma has given me excellent approval for some companies, but don’t know if it’s a good idea. I have good credit payment history, but my funds are diminishing. My credit is considered Good, not Very Good, but Excellent payment history. What are good rates?

You are not the only senior who has written to me lately. I’m going to recommend you contact the National Foundationfor Credit Counseling. You can trust them completely. Call 800-388-2227 to be connected to the nearest local office. Sometimes they can talk to your creditors and get the charges reduced.
Please, please write back and tell me what happens. I’m very interested.
