Ask Terry Questions Retirement Investing Firms

Retirement Investing Firms

By Terry Savage on November 29, 2018 | Financial Planning / Retirement

Hi Terry, my husband and I are not investment savvy & have interviewed Edward Jones Investments. I am not sure if this is the best route but my husband likes their portfolio. What are your thoughts? My husband is planning to retire in 2019. I am 60 & plan to work a bit longer.

Terry Says

Edward D. Jones is a fine brokerage firm — BUT its brokers are not FIDUCIARIES, who put your interests ahead of their own and who fully disclose all fees and commissions.  In fact, you can ask the broker/planner/advisor  if he or she is a FIDUCIARY, and if they will put that in writing!

Lots of people can give good advice.  But I’d stick with one who is a FIDUCIARY.  Start your search at Wealthramp.com — a website where only chosen, fiduciary, fee-only advisors can be accessed.
