Servicer or company for a college loan in students name

By Terry Savage on October 26, 2022 | College Savings / Student Loans

Hi Terry, My daughter is a college junior. Up to this point I have paid the majority of her tuition except for the amount she has been given by Fafsa which she will pay off after graduation.
I am ill and unable to work. Next year I would like her to pay for more of her own tuition. Can you recommend a good servicer for student college loan in her name.
Thank you,

I’m not quite sure I understand your question. I think you are saying that she has received the maximum amount of Federal student loans each year. And for next year, she will need more money. She should immediately contact the bursar’s office and explain her situation — that you are ill and cannot pay any more. They will let her know of any work/study programs or grants that she might be eligible for. She should also start searching at www.Scholarships.com for free money.

The only ways you could help would be to take out a home equity loan or a parent PLUS loan — but that is unlikely since you no longer can work to repay the loan.
