I was just at a retirement seminar yesterday. They said I might already be able to collect spousal benefits from my husband’s social security benefit. I am 65 still working. He is 72 collecting social security started collecting at 70.I plan to work till 70 then collect my social security and federal pension.I am currently federal employee 13 years private sector over 30 years as a nurse

May I suggest you go to www.MaximizeMySocialSecurity.com and let them review your benefits to see what you would qualify for at YOUR full retirement age, and how your own benefits are impacted by your public service pension, if any. The $39 cost of this service is well worth it as you will get the CORRECT advice– something you likey won’t get from SS.
