Son’s student loan forgiveness(Government Job)
My son, who works for the fish and game in Idaho, would be eligible for loan forgiveness. However, in order to save money, a few years back, he combined his federal student loans with his private loans. My question is is there anyway for him to prove what portion of his current loan was federal loans, with the end result, of course, getting forgiveness for his federal student loans.

I consulted with student loan expert Rae Kaplan (www.financialrelief.com) — hoping that I would be wrong in my initial assessment.
But she confirmed that once you consolidated those loans they became private loans — and now there is no way to access the public service loan forgiveness program.
