student loan interest
My two children have student loans and have continued to make payments during the pandemic. They both received a form 1098-E form for student loan interest received by lender. I thought that interest was supposed to be deferred on student loans. Should they receive a refund for interest paid? Thank You.

No, but you ne4ed to contact the lender and inform them that the payments made during the deferral are ENTIRELY supposed to pay down the balance. And pls write back with more specifics.
