Student Loan repayment programs

By Terry Savage on November 19, 2021 | College Savings / Student Loans

Hi Terry,

I’m working on paying off my student loans. I have been paying them back for nearly 13 years and I have been working in the non-profit sector but was only full time for 8 years and the last few have been part time as an adjunct Professor (non-profit schools). I chose the wrong payment plan for the forgiveness program, but I recently responded to a refinance program that told me I may be eligible for forgiveness, or at the very least lower my monthly payments. However, they want to charge me $250, so my question is should I pay them for this service or is there a free service I could use or should I do this work on my own? I appreciate your advice!
