Student loans forgiveness
I’m sure you are inundated with this topic, however, I hear you on WGN and didn’t hear this topic. I know it’s early but…..
My son deferred his undergraduate loans while getting his Master and Doctorate, they are paid for bother university, he receives his Doctorate in May 2023. Will he qualify since he has deferred them until graduation? Again only undergraduate loans and he will not make more than 125,000.

They haven’t set out the final rules. So I don’t know that this will apply to loans in deferral for a student who is still in school. And it’s probably too late to change that status for the purpose of forgiveness.
They will post final rules in about a month — after the 30-day comment period.
