Unemployment
Hi Terry, I work in our high school lunchroom and been unemployed since March. We now maybe going back to work on 1/11/21. Still unsure how often I will be working, since a lot has changed and is always changing. So should I keep certifying for unemployment (even if I work a few days a week)? I am worried if I stop all together, and we shut down again, I will have to refile, and that may be hard to start again? Thank you for your help! You have been a lot of help listing to you on WGN radio!!

Keep certifying every week and after you get a paycheck answer honestly that you have some earnings, reduced earnings. Then let them catch up with adjusting your benefits. If you are laid off again, you can reopen that claim. But I know it will be a hassle given how messed up IDES is!
