Universal Life + Long Term Care Insurance
On the radio a couple weeks ago, I heard you recommend a certain long term care insurance product. I couldn’t catch all the details. I think it did two things – life insurance and long term care insurance. Can you please share again what it is you recommend? For the first time, my employer is offering a voluntary long term care benefit through Transamerica, and I want to see if what they are offering is what you recommended. Also, I am 44 years old. Is it too early to consider applying for and paying for this benefit? Thank you!
Terry Says
It’s not too early to consider long term care insurance, and if your employer is offering it, it’s probably a good plan.

And if you want real unbiased advice, I suggest you contact Brian Gordon at 800-533-6242. Tell him I said to call. He is my LTCi expert, and I trust him completely. If you are getting a good deal from your employer, he will tell you. If not, it may turn into a column idea for me! I hesitate to opine without knowing all the details.
