This is a question that I am asked at least once a year. It’s complicated because the “old AT%T” split into the 5 “baby bells” — and then those companies merged with others. So if you still have the original shares, they have gone through many changes. Here is a link to the calculator at the AT&T shareholder services website. There you will also find a link to their shareholder service contact that can help you through this project. If you have the original certificates with numbers, it will make the process easier. Guard them closely.
