Widows social security

By Terry Savage on January 04, 2024 | Wild Card

I read your book and I’m afraid I’m getting too much. I just started getting checks for $3000 in 2017 I went to the office and they told me it would be 2200 could have gone up that much? Collecting my husbands. They said mine would never reach what his is. How do I make sure I’m getting the right amount. Thank you.

Yes, the cost of living increases could have raised your benefit check that much. But to be sure, I’m going to suggest you pay the $39 to use the calculator at www.MaximizeMySocialSecurity.com. They’ll help you through the process. That way you know you are getting the correct amount, and can sleep at night.
