Windfall Social Security payments
Terry, I spoke to you on WGN one month ago. I’m a retired police officer and I also collect Social Security and I have been affected by Windfall in that I only get about 40 percent of my Social Security. You told me to call you when I got my April payment and
Still haven’t got a retro check or a monthly increase. I went to Social Security and was told to be patient and he did say my record shows I was affected by Windfall. Can you help me? Thank you for reading this.

They said they were trying to get them all done in April. They haven’t been able to do that. Just wait — they’ll get around to you! Now, I’ll see get back to me if you haven’t received yours by the Fourth of July!
BUT, it should include all months going back to Jan, 2024 –in a separate payment that will seem huge! Remember to set money aside for taxes when you get that big check, in addition to the higher monthly deposit.
