WPS (Wisconsin Physicians Service) supplemental plan
I recently received this from HealthPartners/Park Nicollet where I’ve been going since I lived here. All of my providers are in this group, plus I had one hospital stay in the last 15 months when we moved to the Minneapolis area.
“HealthPartners /Park Nicollet are no longer scheduling appointments for patients whose health insurance coverage is out of network. Our records show you have health insurance coverage through WPS HEALTH INSURANCE which is out of network which now includes Park Nicollet Clinics and Methodist Hospital. (The 2 places where all my providers are) I was told by WPS that any provider who accepts Medicare HAS to take supplemental plans which I HAVE. Do you have any information about docs taking supplemental plans if they take Medicare? I appreciate any help you might give me…I’ve been a wreck for the past 3 weeks!! When I was listening to you on WGN today, as I do every week), I decided to ask for your help. THANK YOU SO MUCH!

Wait — Do you have Medicare and a Supplement? Is your Supplement with WPS Health Insurance? I’m a little confused.
If you have Original Medicare A&B, plus a supplement, it must be accepted by any doctor or hospital that takes Medicare.
So do they have their records confused? Or could you clarify for me exactly what insurance you have?
Please write back to the email you receive saying your question has been answered.
