Life insurance expiring

By Terry Savage on August 03, 2020 | Insurance & Annuities

I am 63 y/o and my term life insurance will expire soon. I obtained it when I was married had two children. Children are out of the house and on their own.
I have no debt and wondering if I should renew or get term life insurance?
I am still employed full time. Possibly looking into Long term care insurance. But that may be cost prohibitive.
Thank you,

So glad you wrote. Your term life insurance performed exactly as desired. And YES, now is the time to switch to LTC insurance — but in a “combo” policy that will pay a death benefit in case you do not use the LTC coverage. Read this recent column on the subject.
It explains the policies and gives you a great resource for more info.
