Part D insurance for medication
I am looking for an inexpensive insurance for part D. The only medication I take is the generic form of synthroid. My insurance is going from 43.90 to 56.60! A month……I am 70 and in very good health…..this insurance cost is getting me sick. Can you advise me please…..
Thank you very much…
SAVAGE SAYS:There is really only one way to find the cheapest and most appropriate Part D Medicare plan, based on your own meds. That is to go to www.Medicare.gov and use their Plan Finder. (Do NOT confuse this with the government’s new health insurance website!) The plan finder really works. And if y ou can’t do that on your own, call 1-800-MEDICARE and they will walk you through the process. But the website is pertty simple, and it will show you the least expensive plan (including all the donut whole stuff!) so you can save some money. Don’t put this off, as this is the season to change plans without penalty.
