Freezing credit and bank accounts
Hello, to avoid fraud, scams, etc. we’ve placed a freeze on our accounts through each of the major nationwide credit reporting agencies – Equifax, Experian, TransUnion and LexisNexis (SageStream) and INNOVIS. What are your thoughts on placing a freeze on bank accounts through ChexSystems? Also placing a freeze on social security numbers? Thank you.

I don’t think that’s necessary, once you’ve frozen your credit at each of the three bureaus. Just go online and check your bank and credit card accounts at least once a week. That’s just a good habit. And never do online banking using public wifi.
