Ask Terry Questions Credit card

Credit card

By Terry Savage on October 18, 2019 | Credit/Debt

I have about $18000 in credit card debt. Bad mistake. What is the best option for me that won’t hurt my credit? Do I consolidate it all and pay one fee? There is this website called Fiona that will find the best company to consolidate and you pay one fee versus all credit card fees? I just don’t know what to do. My Dad gave everyone money in a trust but decided not to give me my money (he is always so tough with me vs my siblings). I shouldn’t have jumped the gun on some purchases.

Whew –you really stepped into it!  I think your Dad might be tough on you because he doesn’t believe you have learned your lesson about self-discipline when it comes to money.  This should do it though!  OK, I’m going to give you a sneak peek at the next column I will post.  It’s about getting out of credit card debt, but not falling into the hands of unscrupulous debt consolidation agencies that typically destroy your credit for a long time!  So take a deep breath and check back at TerrySavage.com for that column.
