Credit card debt
I was just let go from my job and have an excessive amount of charge card debt ($50+). I was able to keep up with my payments however now that I lost income from my job I would like to see if I can negotiate and/or debt consolidate. Any recommendations on who I can maybe have help me with this?

Your first step is to contact the National Foundation for Credit Counseling. Call at 800-388-2227 and that will connect you to the nearest local office. You can trust them.
Most of the other “credit card debt help” places advise you to stop paying your bills, build up a pile of cash for them to negotiate. But then your credit is destroyed, and they will be hounding you. So call the above number first for unbiased and free advice.
